Their objective is to ensure we deliver a finished and reliable application on-time and within budget. As with so many parts of the development cycle, intelligent tools can greatly assist the project management process (such as our own preferred project management software suite TCPM that we have specifically built around our own Development Processes, PRINCE2, MS Project or Scrumworks). These are essential tools but they are just tools and do not substitute the need for experienced personnel who understand the nuances of successful software development or thoughtful and highly refined working disciplines. All our project managers are senior software designers who understand the technologies involved as well as the importance of the process management necessary to ensure that a product evolves as it should. It is their role to encapsulate your business processes and to define and refine highly detailed requirement specifications via a series of interactive meetings and project design procedures.
