Prior to any project actually commencing we can also be engaged independently as management consultants to advise as to the best strategy forward. This may involve an independent opinion about a customer's existing business systems whereby we provide an objective, qualitative evaluation of their suitability and effectiveness. For new software requirements this may involve us first defining the core architecture for an application requirement and then to formalise and document a standardised functional specification brief to enable a project to be tendered for, in a uniform manner to a wider open market. This is especially useful to government and regulated organisations where this requirement is mandatory and is a way of actually putting some value and accuracy into the tendering evaluation process. We can as appropriate, also submit our own subsequent solution proposal to tender against that brief. Unlike most management, consultancies who live in the land of text book theory only, we can also act on the advice we provide and “walk the walk, not just “talk the talk”, as we additionally employ the resource and expertise required to subsequently design, construct, develop, implement and support the required bespoke software solution.
